The wiring is straightforward—black for power, blue for the controller, yellow for breakaway, and white for ground—making it easy to get everything connected and working right the first time.
The 360-degree rotating brass brake line fitting makes it easy to route your hydraulic line in any direction. Whether you’re working with tight clearances or a custom setup, this design eliminates awkward angles and helps prevent kinks in your lines. The standard 3/16" inverted flare port fits common brake line fittings for a clean install that’s ready to go.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this DeeMaxx Alpha G1600 electric over hydraulic actuator for disc brakes in the black color. Now this DeeMaxx brake actuator will give you faster braking response and improve control for your fifth wheel, your work trailer, or your horse trailer that has disc brakes. Again, the application works with single, tandem, or triple axle trailers with disc brakes, and this will activate your hydraulic disc system when you apply the brakes in your vehicle. It does reach 1000 PSI in just 3/16 of a second, and it gives you a maximum output pressure of 1600 PSI. It is designed to work from the factory electric brake controllers, so you won't need an extra adapter and it is made to last and protect key components for everyday reliability.
The casing on it is a strong extruded aluminum housing, dissipates the heat buildup. Uses upgraded gasket seals and isolated sealed fluid tank to eliminate the risk of contamination. Now the capacity of the tank is 15.7 ounces. Also uses a powerful DC motor and a German-made pump. Now this actuator is designed to install on your trailer frame or in an enclosed compartment.
Right here you can see it has the rotating 360 degree brake line fitting right here. So it allows for any mounting position. The hydraulic port size on it is 3/16 inch inverted flare, which is a standard brake line fitting. This does meet the DOT Department of Transportation specifications. Now it will require components that we do sell separately.
An electric over hydraulic compatible factory or aftermarket trailer brake controller. A DOT-required battery powered breakaway device with a switch. A seven-way trailer connector to send the wired signal, and any mounting hardware, wires, connectors, and hydraulic lines and fittings. A few specs on this, the power, 12 volt DC minimum 30 amp circuit. The current draw at the full pressure is 18 to 24 amps.
Now the wiring configuration, which we can show you right here, it'll have a black wire, which is a 12 volt DC power. Has a blue wire, which is your brake controller, the yellow, which is your breakaway, and the white, which is your ground. Last thing to give you is a few dimensions on this. If we measure the length, I'm gonna measure it actually just the box here, not including the mounting tabs. So if we put a ruler on it, just the box itself is 10 and 1/4 inches. Now if we put a ruler, including the mounting tabs, see what we can get on that, is gonna be right at 11 and 3/4 inches with the mounting tabs. The width on it, it's gonna be right at 3 and 5/8 inches wide. And the overall height to the very top, it's right at six inches tall. Actually, that's to the top of the box. If you want to add the cap, it's another 3/4 inches. But that's gonna do it for a look at this DeeMaxx Alpha G1600 electric over hydraulic actuator for disc brakes.

This was a simple install! The new DeeMaxx G1600 has made our travel days much less stressful. As we now feel the trailer brakes almost immediately. With the prior system the controls in my RAM 3500 was set at 7.0 on heavy electric over Hydraulic and now we are set at 4.5 and I may turn it down to 4.0!
Arrived quickly! Packaged well. Anxious to install.
Works great. I replaced a Hydrastar that reacted very slowly. This brakes solidly and fast. And got it in two days.
